The problem I saw
I wanted players to express confidence across several outcomes. The surrounding cash language also needed a clear boundary because the public values are simulated.

What I built
The active fixture asks Team Liquid at 1.7x versus Selangor Red Giants at 2.1x. The public prototype shows a $450.00 balance, a $5 entry fee, and a $50,000 prize pool. It says Top 100 win cash. Deposit, withdrawal, recent deposits, winnings, payouts, and payout UI are visible. These screens use mock fixture data.

What I learned
Allocation alone does not prove prediction skill. The build does not establish real-money operation or legal status.
PAIN POINTS
What the product addresses
- One-tap predictions that hide confidence
- Cash-like labels with no visible operating boundary
- Allocation language that could be mistaken for proof of skill
DECISIONS
Decisions that shaped it
- Use one fixed credit budget across every question.
- Show each multiplier beside its outcome and update the potential win immediately.
- Make Lock Portfolio a separate review step.
LEFT OUT
What I deliberately did not build
- A single prediction button with no confidence allocation.
- Treating the allocation mechanic as evidence that users have prediction skill.
MEASURES
What I would measure
- How often players revise allocations before Lock Portfolio.
- Whether players understand that credits and cash screens are simulated.
- Whether outcomes beat a defined baseline across repeated predictions.
